Planning Blog: Other Information

 Schedule:

 2/8/25 - 2/9/25, Filming will begin, aiming to film most of the shots for the first scenes, and get as much done as possible this weekend.  


2/15/25-2/16/25, If any extra filming or final touches need to be added to the filmmaking process, it will be done on these dates, ensuring the best production possible. 


2/18/25 - 3/5/25: The editing process will start almost immediately after the filming, this is to make sure we have enough time to properly edit for the final product.  


3/6/25 - Final day to revise any editing, filmmaking, before the final submission. 


Location: 

My group will film at my friend Lucas’s house, which we determined would be the best for the filmmaking process.

Health and Safety:  

For the safety of our team, Lucas’s mother will act as our safety team and provide supervision, direct access to 911, and any medical care we might need in case of an accident which is unlikely.  

My groupmate’s mother will be able to ensure that any shots that might need arrangement of heavier/fragile objects, or physical shots are done carefully and thoroughly.  

In case of any fragile objects breaking, we will have her on standby to be able to assist in the cleanup and replacement of the object. 

 
Backup plan: 
If one member of the group isn’t able to film on a weekend labeled in the schedule, we can push it back to the following Friday. If the problem is with the filming location, our backup filming location is my apartment complex.

Editing Blog: Music and fixing

For the editing, I helped out a lot in the music portion. First, me and my group mates met on a call, and we began to discuss what we should add, or fix for the commercial. As I said, my portion was pretty much the music and fixing any bugs or glitches in the film. I had to make sure that the music would fit the overall theme and tone of the commercial. This ended up being a more intense and dramatic music to fit the commercial. I then had to make sure the music fit the overall pacing and different shots of the commercial. This way a really intense part of the music wouldn't play for just me doing something simple like setting up the ball. Other than this, I made sure that the music would cut off at certain moments where we needed the audio to be emphasized.  I also made sure that it fit within the time frame of the commercial and wouldn’t go over the time we needed. Our Storyboard

  Scene 1:   The camera is looking down at the ground. The ground is bare, and there’s little movement.  Scene 2:   The camera shifts to show someone setting a soccer ball with their foot. The ball is placed carefully as the camera lingers on it for a moment.  Scene 3:   A close-up of player 1, who is visibly sweaty, emphasizes their exhaustion. Audio of player 1 breathing heavily plays in the background.  Scene 4:   The audio bridges into the next shot. The next shot is from player 1’s point of view, looking at the goalkeeper (player 2). This shot is at a Dutch angle, adding tension and unease. The camera's movement is unstable, mimicking player 1’s disoriented state.
