Production Blog, Before the Filming.

Before the commercial, I contributed to getting my equipment and some for the team itself. I got athletic clothes, soccer cleats, brought some soccer balls. The idea of advertising Gatorade by using soccer was my idea that I pitched to the group. Now going back to the equipment, I had to make sure I looked the part of a soccer player, so I had to bring extra stuff like high socks. After this I also set up different props and guidelines for how we would shoot the commercial. I also made sure to bring waters and beverages for my team while we were out filming our commercial. I helped and decided for my team where we would film, and on what day. We ended up filming at Holiday Park, which was my suggestion for the team. Along this I also helped set up our back up plan just in case it was to rain, or a teammate would be unable to be at the filming of the commercial. I also helped direct the process of the film through the storyboard. I made many suggestions and additions to the storyboard that wouldn't have been added without me. On top of this, I also helped research the different elements of similar commercials that we could incorporate into our own commercial. Such as the effects, props, music, and shots that were used. Helping organize the team meetings and calls that our group had to go through was another part that I played. I set up the scene for our team once we got to the park. By this I mean I drew where the penalty line would be, and which goal we would use for better looking lighting. Originally, we were going to use my phone for the recording, but we had to switch to one of my group mate's phone after mines overheated due to the heat. Before the commercial I also practiced shooting on target where we wanted the goal to be for a better effect after we finished recording. I assisted in accurately setting up my friend's tripod so it would match the standards of the shots or angles we wanted to take. This was crucial as we wanted specific shots for specific moments.
