My Group

 I have chosen to work in a group for this project. One member of my group is Lucas Hale-Florez. I chose him because I know I will be able to meet with him outside of school in case I need to record outside of school. I also know that he will be free to record on weekends or even after school. Another reason why I chose him is because I have spoken too and talked to Lucas for a long time now. And I also keep in touch with him on a regular basis whether on school or outside of school. I have decided to work with these two instead of an entire group. Our group is now more experienced in editing. So, we will be able to work on editing more efficiently. My next member of my group is Khamaree Jeudy.  Khamaree is one of my good friends and I have spoken to him for a while. I know I will always be in contact with him throughout the project. I also know that meeting with him won't be a problem. I chose these two as my group mates due to their work ethic. I know that they will assist in completing the project, and that they won't slack off. I also believe that they have different qualities such as editing or directing which could help split up the work. I chose to work with a group instead of by myself because I didn't want to do everything on my own. I felt that it would be a lot more work and wouldn't provide as good of an experience for my project overall. I feel as if with groupmates my work will be enhanced as we all put our capabilities to work. I also believe that with working in a group it will be a more enjoyable experience which won't make me feel stressed. These two people are those whom I trust will be engaged and help me complete my work. I am looking forward to starting my short film making process.

Our Pitch for filming

 Pitch A: One day everyone in town disappeared, now they must play games to survive.  Pitch B: It’s a normal weekend for a lazy teenager until he receives a mysterious phone call.   Discussion of Pitch A:  I believe that this pitch would be interesting to film, but it would also be more difficult. My groupmates do believe that it would be entertaining for the viewers if done properly. I discussed it with my groupmates, and we determined that we would most likely need more actors to make the film work. The editing of this pitch would also be more intense, which could take more time, and lessen our time for other aspects of the film. Another difficulty would be the filming location, as it would be difficult to find an open space with many actors to film. However, a positive of this pitch is the creativity that it allows us to have when filming and editing.
