Changes that we made!

Hello everybody, welcome to my blogspot! Last time on my blog we went over a film review done with my groupmate’s mother and some friends of ours. This time, I will be going over some changes made due to the information we obtained from the film review. The information that we took into account were to change lighting and exposure, fix blur, sound changes, and refilm scenes where acting was underperformed. Starting with the lighting, I reviewed back on scenes where Lucas’s mother stated that it looked “too dark or blurry.” I went back into the editing and changed up some scenes that were dark by turning up exposure and then turned down bloom, so it wasn’t as blurry. However, I did find that in the final clip it looked too bright. Therefore, I turned down the exposure on that to give the atmosphere a darker look. Next was the sound that my friends gave their opinion on. They stated that, “Sounds seemed missing.” This is important to us because thrillers are reliant on creating an atmosphere of tension or suspension. Therefore, I went back and added some sound audio found for free on YouTube that required no licensing. I also even removed sound from other clips that were meant to generate tension. Finally, was the scenes that appeared more “choppy” or not done properly. This was regarding the acting of the scenes, not the location. We sadly had to refilm some of these scenes and make the acting just a little more believable than before. I did this because of course, I was the main actor of the film. This hurt a little because I thought my acting was superb. Jokes aside, we refilmed it with ease and added that to the main film instead. I feel like this was a great opportunity to see what we did wrong, and what we could have done better. It was a great thing that we incorporated this into our final film.
