Music

Hello guys and welcome to my blog once again! Last time we went over the many changes made to the film after the review done by our peers. This time, I will be going over the music portion of the film. Music is very important to our film, and I have briefly talked about it in my past blogs. As of right now, we haven’t used any music or sound that requires licensing. This is because it would take a while to get the licensing, and because it may be difficult for big organizations or groups of people to talk to just one small group of people filming. This shows the difficult of getting sound or music in real life filmmaking processes such as movies. The music we did use however, for the first scene was free music that I played through my phone to add to that aspect of being “just a lazy teenager scrolling through his phone.” Every sound effect or audio we used were also gotten off YouTube. Which I searched up for free, suspenseful, thriller audios. My other friend that did editing mainly worked on this. But I was there to help with suggestions and when to input the audio into scenes. For example, we wouldn’t have wanted audio on blast playing while the main actor is speaking. This is because it would ruin the tension. A solution to this was to either lower the volume of the music or cut it off fully for that shot. Uploading the music was also another challenge. This was due to having to download it from YouTube, which I had to find an external source for. Because I don’t have YouTube premium, I cannot download videos straight from YouTube. Me and my group worked together to find a reliable site that would allow us to download and upload the music file to our film with no copyright. This was it for my portion of helping out with the music.
