This is the answer to the second question of the CCR, I did it in more of a video format styling a TikTok, enjoy. "How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?"

Here is my response to the first question of my Creative Critical Reflection, which was, "How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?"

 Hello guys and welcome to my blog once again! Last time we went over the many changes made to the film after the review done by our peers. This time, I will be going over the music portion of the film. Music is very important to our film, and I have briefly talked about it in my past blogs. As of right now, we haven’t used any music or sound that requires licensing. This is because it would take a while to get the licensing, and because it may be difficult for big organizations or groups of people to talk to just one small group of people filming. This shows the difficult of getting sound or music in real life filmmaking processes such as movies. The music we did use however, for the first scene was free music that I played through my phone to add to that aspect of being “just a lazy teenager scrolling through his phone.” Every sound effect or audio we used were also gotten off YouTube.  Hello everybody, welcome to my blogspot! Last time on my blog we went over a film review done with my groupmate’s mother and some friends of ours. This time, I will be going over some changes made due to the information we obtained from the film review. The information that we took into account were to change lighting and exposure, fix blur, sound changes, and refilm scenes where acting was underperformed. Starting with the lighting, I reviewed back on scenes where Lucas’s mother stated that it looked “too dark or blurry.” I went back into the editing and changed up some scenes that were dark by turning up exposure and then turned down bloom, so it wasn’t as blurry. However, I did find that in the final clip it looked too bright. Therefore, I turned down the exposure on that to give the atmosphere a darker look.  Hi viewers, and welcome back. I have finally finished up editing, as mentioned previously. Now that the filming and editing was done, it was time for a review. We decided to ask my groupmates mother, and some peers about their opinions on our film. After showing them the two minute clip, they suggested some changes. Lucas’s mother suggested that we make some changes. Some of them regarded the lighting and exposure in the video. She claimed that it was too dark or blurry for certain scenes. This was important, and we took it to heart. Then, we asked some of our friends outside of the group what they thought about the film. They said it was overall decent, but some of the sounds were missing. This sound that they mentioned was supposed to create a more tense atmosphere.  Hello everyone! This is the second part of my editing blog. Last time we went over the start of my editing. Now I will explain what more I did for editing the film. Now that all of my film was properly organized, I could start with effects and sound. I got on a call with my group members for this, so that I could get help. I also did this so I could help my other friend who was editing. We looked back at our title design blog, and how we said the font for the title of the movie would be in chiller, size 72. However, I felt as if this was too big and covered most of the screen, so I reduced the font size. The titles for credits of people was in Times New Roman, which I made sure to include the same way throughout every title. I let them fade into the background of the scene.  Welcome back to my blog, again. My team and I have finished filming completely, which is what I talked about before. This time, we were going to have to edit. I used cap cut for the editing process, due to finding it easier than other editing software's. While not being the main person for editing, I still decided to try. Me and my other teammate were both going to edit the videos on our own and come together to decide which we would use for the final task. I started off with getting all of the film from my friend that recorded it and transferring it to my computer. Then, I downloaded it all on my computer, and made sure it was saved. I was now finally able to upload all the film to cap cut. This process took around ten minutes to complete. I reviewed every recording to make sure it was the correct one we would use. Welcome back to my blog! Today, I will be talking about the second filming process of our final task! After the progress we got done with last time, we were hopeful to finish. I went back to my friend’s house after school. My mother had to drive me this time. Once I got there, we began filming at around 7 pm again. For one of the shots, I had to drop my phone on the ground. This ended up happening a total of three times. Honestly, I'm surprised my phone didn’t break. Most of the shots we filmed consisted of me being on a phone call with the “Unknown Caller.” My friend, being the unknown caller, had to do all the voicing. This was difficult to concentrate on because honestly, his voice sounded really goofy. It wasn’t scary at all, so it forced me to laugh or smile a couple times which made us redo the shot. I made sure to tell my groupmates that we needed a tilt and pan, which we included during the scene where I pick up the phone from the ground. And the pan came from when I walked...

 Finally, me and my group met together after other difficulties. We decided to film at the start of the week, on a school day. While this was troubling, we met at my friend’s house after school to begin filming. Since we are recording a thriller, we had to wait until around 7. This is due to needing darker lighting for most shots and scenes. I was the main actor in our film. The very first scene began with me in bed, which I had to try and look as tired and lazy as possible. My groupmates filmed me using their phone and made sure to get correct lighting on me. I had to change my friend’s contact to “Unknown Caller” for the film. This was to make it look more mysterious and thriller-like. Some shots were more difficult than others. The main culprit was my acting not being good enough sometimes. The facial expressions I had to make were difficult as well. Because it was supposed to be fear and uneasiness.  This weekend will be when we begin the filming. Filming has been overdue. Originally supposed to film around two weeks ago and then immediately begin editing. Now, we have limited time, so we must make use of it. I'm going to my friend's house with now all the preparations and materials needed. He already confirmed with me that its okay that day to film. The whole group is able to go, so now there is no conflict (hopefully). I've already told my parents, and they agreed to take me. Safety and parental supervision are there as well, in case of any accidents during film. It would be ideal if we could get the entire filming process done. But, if we aren't able to on Saturday, then we can always use Sunday as an extra day. As said before, I suggested to use a weekday after school for filming. I went on a call with my peers, to determine when and what time we would film. After a while, we came to an agreement. Me and my group will film this weekend, noon. I cleared up some time on that day due to having to go to a soccer match. Everyone else also agreed that they were both free. But, I needed to still gather some materials for the film. I had to get proper new clothes to look aesthetic for the film. Which wasn’t difficult because it was simply normal or even plain shirts. I did this because I didn’t want to use my old ones which might look worse or ruin the film. Another thing I had to buy was a tripod to help filming. This would make it easier for us to film. It did this by making the camera more stable and not shaky. We also determined what camera we would actually use. We decided that we would use my phone as a camera. Production Blog, scheduling difficulties: I had some scheduling difficulties with my group. We were supposed to film the first week after our storyboard. However, that ended up going south. We didn’t film when we were supposed to. And our storyboard was due, which we couldn’t get in properly on time. The next scheduling difficulty that occurred was when we pushed it back to the next week. One of my group members weren’t in the country due to being on vacation. They were in LA, across the United States, far from my friend’s house. Since they were out visiting family, we had little to no contact with them. Plus, even if we did have contact, I’m not sure how that would help with filming if they weren’t even in the state.  My group wanted everyone to be there for the filming.
